Post 201 Punches Ticket to National Bound State Title Game and Northeast Regional

Worcester, MA --- Regan Aghdam, Jimmy Smith and Joe Consolmagno each recorded three hits while Cam Frederick earned his
fourth relief win of the season to help East Side Post 201 reach the Massachusetts American Legion Baseball National Bound State
Tournament title game with a 9-6 triumph over Sudbury Post 191 on Friday at Fitton Field. The Raiders (18-4), winners of their last nine
games, are set to face Barnstable Post 206 at 7:30pm on Saturday.

Regardless of the outcome, both teams will represent the Commonwealth in the Northeast Regional due to a change in the format which
moves New York to the Mid-Atlantic bracket.  The double-elimination regional tournament begins on Thursday, August 8 at William
Pomfret Stadium at Palmer Field in Middletown, CT. Meanwhile, East Side is slated to play the seven remaining regular season games
beginning with Sunday's 7:30pm home game against Main South.

Tim Brutto, Brandon O'Connor and Cam Frederick were also members of the multiple hit club while O'Connor, Aghdam and Nate
walked twice.

Sudbury was led by
Joe Euele who batted 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored. Bob Pederson also recorded a pair of hits
for Post 191.

Euele delivered a two-out two-RBI double down the left field line and
Pete Zuckerman followed with a run-producing single to left as
Sudbury took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first.

The Raiders brought the game back to a stalemate in the second. Aghdam delivered an RBI double down the left field line. A wild pitch
enabled Aghdam to score and
Peter Bovenzi crossed home plate on an infield miscue.

The next 10 Sudbury batters were retired in order while East Side took a 4-3 lead in the fourth when Brutto singled to plate Smith.

Post 191 pushed ahead in the fifth via another three-run frame.
Alex McLaughlin doubled to right for an RBI and later scored on a failed
pickoff. Euele chased home
Andrew DellaVolpe with a knock to left center following a pitching change.

East Side leveled the game at 6-6 in the top of the sixth as O'Connor and Aghdam connected on back-to-back RBI singles.

The game remained deadlocked until Bovenzi and Cam Frederick strung together a pair of run-producing hits to give East Side an 8-6
advantage in the top of the eighth. Consolmagno added an insurance run in the ninth on an RBI knock to center field.

Consolmagno was charged with all six runs - five earned - on four hits with three strikeouts and four walks in four and two-thirds. Cam
Frederick (4-0) allowed three hits and fanned one in two and a third. Brutto struck out a pair in the final two frames en route to his
second save of the season.

East Side left 16 runners on base while Sudbury stranded four.

McLaughlin, Euele,
Ben Chaisson and Matt Glynn all saw time on the bump for Post 191.

Sudbury heads to Billerica for a 1pm Zone 5 game on Sunday.
