East Side Falls in Northeast Regional Championship Game

Middletown CT --- The historic 2013 East Side Post 201 season came to a close with a 12-2 setback in seven innings to Branford, CT in
the championship game of the American Legion Baseball Northeast Regional on Monday night at Palmer Field. The Raiders made it to the
winner-take-all title tilt after defeating Barnstable 7-3 in the first game of the day. This year's version of the squad sported a 25-11 record
and fell one game shy of booking a trip to the American Legion World Series held in Shelby, NC.

The nightcap marked the career finale for co-captains
Joe Consolmagno and Regan Aghdam, as well as Tim Brutto and Jimmy Smith.
Consolmagno will be joined at UMass Lowell by
Zach Zona while Aghdam will continue at the University of Rhode Island. Look for
Smith to make an impact at Wheaton and return to the Worcester area this spring when the Lyons take on WPI and Clark. Brutto will
head back to Endicott this fall.

Cam Frederick begins classes this fall at Anna Maria and looks to be on the AMCAT baseball team this spring.
