Post 201 Takes Two From Main South

Worcester, MA --- Jono Crimmin delivered a bases-clearing double in game one and Pat Gallagher struck out nine in game two as
the East Side Post 201 Raiders swept Main South, 5-3 and 9-2, on Saturday night in a Massachusetts American Legion Zone 4
twinbill at Tivnan Field.

Post 201 improved to 3-1 with the pair of victories while Post 341 slipped to 3-2 on the season.

East Side put up a run in the first inning of the evening as
Nate Frederick singled through the right side to plate T.J. Camoreyt. An
inning later,
Nick Cardillo drew a two-out walk and stole second before crossing home plate following Camoreyt's RBI double.

Main South broke through with three in the third.
Nick DeMauro doubled in Mark Brousseau and later scored on a single by
Anthony Rentsch. Later in the frame, Mike Sullivan chased home Rentsch with an RBI ground out to second as Post 341 took the 3-2

With the bases loaded and two outs in the fifth, Crimmin smashed a bases-clearing double to right center to give the Raiders the 5-3

Erik Lacaire (2-for-3) accounted for two of East Side's five hits in the opener. Cam Frederick yielded three runs - two earned - on
seven hits and struck out six over six innings. Nate Frederick struck out one en route to the save.

Brousseau went 2-for-3 and Rentsch was 2-for-4 for Main South.
Chris Dipilato surrendered five runs - two earned - on five hits and
fanned 10 in five innings.
Tanner Roy struck out one and walked one in the sixth.

Game two saw the Raiders, aided by three miscues and one hit, jump out to a 4-0 lead after half an inning. Camoreyt scampered home
on a miscue on a ball put into play by Lacaire. Sean Murphy scored two batters later as Crimmin's sinking line drive was stabbed by
the center fielder.
Matt Kachadoorian then reached on an infield miscue allowing Lacaire to score. Cam Frederick capped the
outburst with an RBI knock to push brother Nate across the dish.

Post 201 added three more runs in the fourth as Lacaire used an RBI single to drove in Camoreyt and Nate Frederick plated a pair
with double to right field.

Main South put up two runs in the sixth.
Dave Monahan drove in the first with a double as Brousseau followed with an RBI single.

The Raiders grabbed the runs back in the top of the seventh as Murphy was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Lacaire lifted a
sacrifice fly to left field.

Camoreyt batted 2-for-3 with two runs scored and Lacaire went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Nate Frederick added a
pair of RBI and Murphy chipped in with two runs. In addition to nine strikeouts, Gallagher surrendered only two hits in five scoreless
innings. Cardillo and Lacaire (two strikeouts) each threw an inning for the East Side Nine.

Monahan led Main South with a 2-for-3 effort while DeMauro and
Mike Brousseau shared time on the hill in game two.

East Side entertains Northbridge on Sunday at 7pm at The Lake and Main South hosts Framingham at 10am at Worcester State.
