East Side Tipped by Shrewsbury, 1-0, in Pitchers Duel
Shrewsbury, MA ---Jack Quinlivan drove in the decisive run in the bottom of the seventh as Shrewbury Post 397 walked off with a
1-0 victory over East Side Post 201 in a Massachusetts American Legion Baseball Zone 4 matchup on Wednesday evening at
Shrewsbury High School.
Scott Manea singled and Kevin Quinlivan walked to set the table for Jack Quinlivan's game-winning single down the left field line.
Shrewsbury improved to 5-1 on the season while East Side moved to 3-4 on the year.
Post 201's Erik Lacaire (2K) and Post 397's Steve D'Agostino (8K) combined for five 1-2-3 innings and allowed three hits apiece in
the complete game efforts.
Matt Kachadoorian accounted for two of the three East Side safeties while Pat Gallagher had the other. Jono Crimmin and Nick
Cardillo each walked once.
Manea, Jack Quinlivan and Matt Jackson all had a hit for Shrewsbury as Matt Howard, Kevin Quinlivan and Tony Froio each drew
East Side heads to Framingham (Bowditch Field) on Thursday evening for a 5:30 first pitch. Shrewsbury travels to Fino Field for a
7pm tilt vs. Milford, also on Thursday.
